Popcorn Friday: Cracked Pepper Corn

Popcorn Friday is here and I am back to flavorings of the savory persuasion.

If you like salt and pepper potato chips, this week's popcorn is a healthy alternative to those chips. The flavor comes from the freshly cracked pepper - ground pepper is no substitute here.

It's also a quick one - makes for a nice snack after a long workweek.

Cracked Pepper Corn
Ingredients: *Serves 2
1/3 c. white kernel popcorn
1 & 1/2 tbs. canola oil
1/2 tsp. freshly cracked pepper
1/2 tsp. salt

1. Heat oil in medium pot on medium heat to medium-high heat.
2. Add popcorn kernels, pepper and salt. Stir until covered with oil. Cover with lid and without removing from heat, shake pot occasionally. Pop corn until popping slows to near stop. Remove from heat.
3. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Happy weekend!
