I want a burger ...

I love a good burger. And I am especially fond of them in the summer when we have lots of BBQs to throw. But one of the things to know about me is that I am quite health conscious too. I’m not super crazy about it but I like to make choices that support a healthy lifestyle. So, what’s a girl to do when she wants a burger? Go buffalo. It’s got great flavor and is healthier than ground beef (even the lean variety). I get it the 96% lean bison from Whole Foods. I love that place. Its my version of heaven on Earth. And the shocking thing is that it was only .20 cents more/lb. than the beef option. Hopefully the picture looks just as yummy as it tasted because it was delish! Oh, and notice that I also made garlic fries - baked of course!

Welcome Friends!

Welcome to my new blog! I am really excited to have started one. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for some time but hadn’t yet made it happen. Well, all that changed when I went to Spokane to help my talented best friend Carly. She had a booth at the Farm Chicks Antique Show and I went to support her! For 2 days, I was surrounded by amazing creations: refurbished, antiques, and vintage inspired finds. In short, it was inspiring. I realized that I miss being apart of a creative community.

So that’s how it started…and now I am inspired to create something. But what? Well during the whole trip, I was drawn to things like aprons, bags and other kitchen related finds. It makes sense because after all, I am a true Foodie at heart. I love the kitchen, trying new recipes, cooking for my husband, entertaining, and wearing cute aprons. So naturally, I’d found my outlet. Food and apron making. We will see how long it takes my sewing classes from childhood to come back to me...

Need a bigger helping?

P.S. I found a fun font to further personalize my blog. If you'd like to see my blog as I intend it, please go here - www.dafont.com - and download "Traveling Typewriter". You'll download a "traveling_typewriter.zip" file. Unzip the file and copy the TravelingTypewriter.otf file into c:\WINDOWS\Fonts. I hope you enjoy it.
