Happy Anniversary with Fresh Squeezed Lemonade!

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of The Salted Spoon! I can hardly believe it it's been 2 years already!

Those of you who've been with me since the beginning know it took a little time to find my blogging groove. For you The Salted Spoon newcomers - I WELCOME you!

Thank you for following, supporting and chatting with me as I journey along in my foodie adventures.

On this special day, I am happy to celebrate a blog I truly enjoy with an ice cold glass of homemade lemonade!

It's been HOT around here - nearly 100 degrees! What a better way to celebrate than with a refreshing glass?! Bottoms up.

Fresh Squeezed Lemonade
Ingredients: *Serves 6-8
2 lemons, thinly sliced
4 c. water
1 c. Ambrosia honey
zest from 2 lemons
1/4 tsp. salt
8 lemons
3 limes
3 c. ice

Directions:
1. Slice 2 lemons and freeze.
2. In a medium saucepan, bring water, honey and lemon zest to simmer. Stir in salt. Remove from heat and let completely cool.
3. Juice lemons and limes into serving pitcher over strainer to catch seeds.
4. Pour cooled lemon water into pitcher using strainer to separate zest.
5. Add ice and frozen lemon slices to pitcher. Stir.
6. Pour into individual glasses and enjoy!
