Popcorn Friday: Truffle Cheese Popcorn

Continuing with my Friday night feature, I've got another flavored popcorn to share with you! And this one is ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!

Comfort food is so IN right now! It has been so for a few years already. There's no sign of its popularity slowing either. One of those uber popular comfort food dishes is Marconi & Cheese. And there's several takes on it...Lobster Mac, Truffle Mac...

Well, the bad side of this popularity is mac & cheese a terribly unhealthy dish. But with the desire for those flavors - the inspiration came for a Truffle Cheese Popcorn.

But before I share the recipe, I must warn you that you likely will begin to crave this popcorn. Dan, upon finishing the last kernel, asked "Is it wrong to want to lick the bowl?" My work here is done.

Truffle Cheese Popcorn
Ingredients: *Serves 2
1/3 c. white popcorn kernels
1 tbs. black truffle oil
3 tbs. grated Romano cheese
salt to taste

Directions:
1. Heat oil in medium pot on medium to medium-high heat.
2. Add corn kernels and stir until covered with oil. Cover with lid and without removing from heat, shake pot occasionally. Pop corn until popping slows to near stop.
3. Remove from heat and immediately sprinkle with cheese. Stir corn to evenly distributed. Season with salt to taste and transfer to serving bowl.

Have a great weekend! Crunch, crunch!
