With an anticipatory festive spirit and inspirations from St. Patrick's Day signature color, a GREEN smoothie is born!
It's loaded with vitamin C, potassium and heart healthy mono-unsaturated fat.
Shamrock Smoothie
Ingredients: * Serves 4
4 kiwi fruit
1/2 avocado
1 large banana
1/2 c. non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt
8 c. no sugar added apple sauce
juice from 2 oranges, about 6 oz.
1 c. crushed ice
Directions:
1. Remove kiwi flesh from skin. Cut avocado in half and remove flesh. Place in blender.
2. Add peeled banana, yogurt, apple sauce, juice and ice to blender. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour into glasses. Drink up and enjoy!

I would have never thought to put avocado in it...but I bet it gave it a beautiful creamy texture!
